Thuy is a 2006 graduate of Richfield High School, where she was actively involved in National Honor Society, Student Government, and the Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Program. She was also the recipient of the Presidents Award for Educational Excellence, NHS Gold Tassel, Time Warner Community Service Award, Rose Rees Peace Award, and the Maroon & Gold Leadership Award. Currently, Thuy is attending the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities where she is majoring in Biochemistry with a Pre-Med emphasis. In her spare time, Thuy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, doing arts and crafts, traveling, volunteering, and teaching a Vietnamese dance group.
As Richfield Ambassador Queen, Thuy has enjoyed representing a city that she loves, sharing the extraordinary spirit Richfield has while visiting other communities, and making new friends. Thuys favorite 4th of July event is the Grand Day Parade because it is a fun time where the community can get together.
As a 2006 candidate, Thuy was sponsored by Steve Larsons Edward Jones. Thuy is the daughter of Thinh Nquyen and Phuoc Tran.
