Richfield Ambassador Bounkheana Chhun
Bounkheana is the daughter of Bounna and Bunkhean Chhun.? She has three brothers, Bunkhuon, Bunkosal, and Bunbob Chhun.? Bounkheana has been a lifelong resident of Richfield and graduated from Richfield Senior High School this year.? Bounkheana has completed two years of PSEO coursework at the University of MN and will transfer to the University of Colorado – Boulder next year where she will study environmental engineering.?
At RHS, she was involved in track and was the Captain of the Cross Country Running and Nordic Skiing Teams.? Bounkheana has played the piano for 9 years and enjoys writing her own music.? Her other interests include biking, hiking, and running.? Woodlake Nature Center is Bounkheana’s favorite place in Richfield because there is so much to do including going for a walk or run or just enjoying the company of the geese and ducks.
Bounkheana’s favorite event was the St. Paul Winter Carnival where the three Ambassadors had the opportunity to stay in St. Paul for the weekend and meet the many other community Ambassadors from across the states of Minnesota and Wisconsin.
“I grew up with all brothers? said Bounkheana when asked about her favorite aspect of the year.? She has truly enjoyed spending time with her new little sisters and Junior Ambassadors Francia and Kate.
